Photo Dynamic LED Therapy (PDT) & Oxygen Infusion at Body TLC
PDT Skin Rejuvenation uses Low Level Light Therapy emitted through LED’s to improve the appearance of skin conditions by stimulating the body’s natural cellular responses. The treatment is targeted to each client’s individual skin concerns such as acne, the first signs of ageing, rosacea and eczema by using Infrared technology and specially selected wavelengths.
How does Photo Dynamic Light Therapy treat such a variety of skin concerns?

Acne Prone Skin is treated using Blue Light Technology which helps to destroy acne bacteria and regulate oil production; thus preventing skin congestion and future acne breakouts.
The first signs of ageing are treated using Red Light Technology this stimulates the lymphatic and circulatory system. Elastin and Collagen production is also increased helping to improve skin texture and tone whilst improving the appearance of fine lines and dull skin. Furthermore, the use of Microcurrents stimulate cells fibroblast activity!

Skin conditions such as Eczema, Rosacea, Dermatitis and Psoriasis are treated using a mixture of both Red & Blue light which together help to guard against bacteria - also great for after surgical or invasive procedures as it helps guard the body against potential infection!

What areas can be treated using Photo Dynamic Light Therapy?

At Body TLC, we have both a PDT Arch and Mask which gives you the ability to treat both the face and neck, back, legs, abdomen, arms and hands.

What are the benefits of
Oxygen Infusion?
Oxygen Infusion is an optional addition to any PDT treatment.
Promotes Collagen Production - The infusion of Oxygen and Vitamins into your skin encourages the production of collagen which helps the skin feel more lifted and firm.
Helps Detox the Skin - Everyday toxins like air pollution and cigarette smoke rob your skin of much needed oxygen. An oxygen facial helps reserve the effects of environmental pollution and rejuvenates oxygen starved skin.
Increases Cell Turnover- Medical researches believe the infusion of oxygen into the skin may help create new cells at a faster pace, this helps the speed of healing for problems such as facial scars, acne and blemishes.

What are the side effects of PDT & Oxygen Infusion?

PDT has no side effects unlike many other treatments that may leave your skin red or create a stinging sensation during treatment. The process of delivering PDT with Oxygen is very gentle and therefore can be enjoyed by anyone! The only two exceptions are pregnant mothers and those taken medication that causes them sensitivity to light.
